Healing Hands – a Reiki Faq

Healing hands – A Reiki FAQ

Reiki is often misunderstood by the mainstream media and public opinion. Seen as a hoax or even witchcraft and an opening into devil worship! Misinformation and poor understanding of Reiki has led to many myths developing so I thought I would but down a simple FAQ about the main aspects of Reiki to help bring a clearer picture to the art.Q. “What is Reiki?”A. Reiki is originally a Japanese art of energy healing which promotes stress reduction and relaxation that promotes self healing. It is typically administered by laying hands on a person to allow life force energy to flow into the subject. Boosting this energy helps us by being happier and healthier which can counter illness.Q. “What does it feel like?”A. Reiki treatment has been described as sensations of heat or coolness, “pins and needles” tingling, vibrational buzzing, electrical sparks, Throbbing, numbness, itchiness and even drowsiness.Q. “Where does this energy come from?”A. The energy that flows from Reiki does not come from the Reiki practitioner not from the patient. The energy comes from the universe and has an infinite supply.Q. “Is Reiki a religion?”A. No! Reiki is not a religion. While spiritual in nature Reiki does not have any dogma or churches or anything of the sort. It is also not linked to faith healing or witchcraft. It can be seen as a very personal spiritual thing and many have attributed it to feeling closer to god if they are religious but the foundations of Reiki are not religious in nature. Reiki will in fact work whether you believe in it or not!Q. “Can I stop going to the doctor if I use Reiki?”A. Reiki works in conjunction with all other medicine and most Reiki practitioners do not recommend you do not seek out conventional medical advice in favor of Reiki only. Reiki can be used along side all other treatments for tremendous benefit.Q. “Can i treat myself with Reiki?”A. Yes you can! This is a great asset of Reiki that you can use the same treatment of others on yourself to promote your own health.Q. “Can anyone learn Reiki?”A. Again Yes! Reiki can be learned by anyone at all. Adult, child, male, female, skeptic and believer Reiki can be taught to anyone you do not need any prerequisite talent or initiation.Q. “Can Reiki be used at a distance?”A. Yes, at a higher level of Reiki you can send energy to anyone at any distance. You need to have a picture of the person or their name on a piece of paper and use one of the symbols you have learnt to send energy to that person.Q. “What are Reiki Symbols?”A. The Reiki symbols are simply tools to use as focus points.Q. “Is Reiki dangerous?”A. Reiki is not an intrusive treatment but one that promotes the body to heal itself. In this way it is believed to be very safe as there are no external chemicals like medicine and no surgery. Just energy flow that removes blockages from the body and promotes self healing that the body knows how to do!

There are many more questions I am sure but I hope this has provided an overview to Reiki and its benefits!

Reiki Healing: Using the power of human touch.

Reiki is a healing technique or therapy designed to reduce stress and promote relaxation and peace of mind. The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words – “Rei” which means “Higher Power or Wisdom” and the word “Ki” which means “life force energy”. Everything around us is composed of this energy.

When our daily lives become stressful, this is a sign our energies are not balanced. Reiki healing therapy aims to bring our energies into balance and bring health and well-being to our emotional, physical and spiritual systems. It works on the assumption that we have natural healing abilities within our selves and it is the Reiki healing technique that stimulates this process. The role of the practitioner is to channel this “universal life energy” through to the recipient.

The founder of this technique was a Principle of a Christian seminary in the middle of the nineteenth century by the name of Mikao Usui. He offered a set of guidelines for a healthy and peaceful life as well as advocating this technique to redress any imbalances in our energy systems that result in physical illness or emotional upset or trauma.

Below are some of the benefits of Reiki healing:-

Reiki Techniques – Becoming a Reiki Master

If you are not educated in the status quo with Reiki energy, then you are probably not acquainted with the path about becoming a Reiki Master. In short, Reiki is a practice of deep sacred value that is a normal method of healing by channeling energy to another person through the means of energy centers or chakras. Employed for thousands of years, it was reintroduced in Japan by Mikao Usui in the 1800′s. This healing is alluding to the balancing of energy inside the body to cure itself. It is sometimes called prana or ch’i. So what does this all signify in becoming a Reiki master and the Reiki Treatments?
Imparting the Reiki energy for mending evidently comes with the territory of becoming a Reiki master, but an individual has to get to that place first. Though Reiki is a relatively painless technique to pick up and learn, people looking to pick it up must be prepared not to be taught in the usual sense of things. In fact, students during a Reiki class in reality have it transferred to them. Before becoming a Reiki master of your own, this transferral of energy known as Reiki Attunement must take place. This is central in becoming a Reiki master because it lets the pupil tap into the endless supply of ‘life force energy’ to make incontrovertible effects on a person’s health and of course greatly improve well being.
Using the great power of Reiki energy might seem like something of a sacred method, but becoming a Reiki master calls for being attuned to encouraging harmony with others in a certain way. If one is to go from a walk to a jog in becoming a master, it must be covered internally that the role is to come to the fruition that by consciously making up one’s mind to improve oneself spiritually it will project its ideals in a advantageous fashion.
Reiki masters give hands on healings as well as distant healings on persons who are not there with them. Additionally, Reiki Masters are also able to give distant Reiki attunements to pupils who are not able to train with them or train in their location. Therefore, learning Reiki by using a home study course has become a natural way of learning Reiki. If the life force energy of Reiki is everywhere and it is, then learning Reiki by using a home study course will be no less powerful than learning Reiki from a Reiki Master locally.
The mightiness of Reiki energy is possessed by Reiki masters, and it is important not to confuse them with Reiki teachers. To become a Reiki master one must in most cases have a Reiki Master certificate. This of course goes beyond what it just sounds like, for they must genuinely walk the walk in their attempts relating to effort and time that is essential in valuing the nuances of Reiki energy. To give one an idea, some souls seeking to become masters have developed for close to 50 years because they realise it is not so easy to master. This changes evidently based on dedication and understanding that it goes beyond the fact that it is just a pattern of healing therapy on the surface.

Reiki Healing Do We Need The Symbols Or Just The Intent & Belief?

Healing with Reiki is a natural process, open and available to all that require it. This natural life force energy is administered in many ways and the use of sacred symbols is believed to enhance the healing power/energy. But are these symbols really necessary?  Are the sacred symbols just a tool used to implement the Intent and Belief that healing will take place? Intent and belief in any natural healing system is alone a powerful tool, regardless of additional equipment. Whether the additional equipment is, in this case, sacred symbols.

Lets look at Intent and belief within Reiki healing. Belief; with Reiki the belief by the practitioner/healer is in the use of secret symbols, generally speaking, that are said to enhance and intensify the flow of energy. With the client, the belief is that healing will take place and help. Putting the client to one side for a moment lets look at the practitioner/healer. Their belief is in the symbols, but will healing work/take place without any reference to these symbols?

Well, the answer is “Yes”. In several experiments at the TSL Holistic Centre, I carried out Reiki healing sessions without refereeing to or thinking about any of the Reiki symbols. I must point out that the actual clients were not aware of the experiments, as we had to maintain and respect their personal beliefs in the Reiki healing.

Clients were booked in the normal manner for a 30-minute Reiki healing session. After the client was settled the session proceeded. Remember although I was not going to use the reiki healing symbols in any way I still had the Intent and Belief that healing would take place and that there would be an energy transference. For the experiment I was going to substitute the healing symbols with “Pot Noodle” flavours. Yes, you read right, for the healing session I was going to think about pot noodles…

Throughout the healing session I thought and concentrated on Pot Noodles. For each different flavour I thought about and imagined and believed that the healing energy was flowing freely. The client was totally relaxed and believed that they were receiving Reiki healing in the normal way, i.e. through the use of symbols.  After the session had finished all clients that were involved in these experiments remarked how they felt different to how they normally did.  Ask in what way, they are commented that they felt more relaxed and more energised. They thanked me for the healing session and left. We chose not to tell them about the pot noodle experiment so not to alter their personal beliefs in Reiki.

A question that was asked by other therapists at the TSL Holistic Centre, was “Was the thoughts of pot noodles really that powerful” Well I’m afraid not, for it was not some hidden power of pot noodles that helped, but the Intent and Belief that healing would take place, Intent and belief from both the client and myself. One of the clients telephoned the following day; following her session, and commented that she had had the best nights sleep in months and again thanked me for the Reiki healing. In a light and humorous way I asked them if they thought healing with pot noodles in mind, might work?  There answer “Don’t be silly, how could that be possible”. To this day the client does not know about the pot noodle experiment.

So with Reiki Healing Do We Need The Symbols Or Just The Intent & Belief?

You decide.

What is Reiki Energy Healing?

Dr. Mikao Usui founded Reiki in the mid-nineteenth century while he was searching for the ancient secret of healing. It was in the Indian sutras, written in Sanskrit, where he discovered a formula for contacting a higher power that could bestow healing. During a 21 day fast and meditation on the mountain of Kort-Yama, he followed the formula and experienced a beam of white light that had the consciousness and healing power he had been seeking. This beam of light struck him in the forehead and rendered him unconscious. During this state he rose out of his physical body and was shown beautiful colorful bubbles of light that contained the Reiki symbols. As he contemplated each symbol he received an attunement for each symbol and the knowledge of its use. This was the beginning of Dr. Usui practicing Reiki energy healing around Japan for the remainder of his life. There is much more about the history of Reiki. I encourage you to check out “The Spirit of Reiki,” by Walter Lubeck, Frank Arjava Petter, and William Lee Rand, “Reiki: Universal Life Energy,” by B. Baginski and S. Sharamon, “The Reiki Handbook,” by L. Arnold and S. Nevius, “Empowerment Through Reiki,” by P. Horan, and “The Reiki Touch,” by J. C. Stewart. Reiki is hands on energy healing. It can also be done a couple of inches off the body as well as absentee long distance healing. Traditional Usui Reiki attunes practitioners to different levels of Reiki with the symbols Dr Usui was shown on Mt. Kort-Yama. This allows the universal life-force energy to flow though our bodies and out our hands into our clients. Our hands may get hot or our clients may feel heat flowing from our hands into their bodies. In the case of long distance healing we are sending the energy through an ether tube to our client. With Reiki, we are really just conduits for the universal energy of Love. This healing energy is channeled into different parts of the body for the highest healing purpose of the client, the Reiki practitioner, and the universe. We are not doing any healing. The client decides whether or not to heal with the help and healing power of the universe. We are just facilitating the energy process and witnessing the results! Reiki has been shown to facilitate many types of miraculous healings. It can and may happen. However, to practice Reiki and claim healing of sickness or disease or any other type of illness is in error and out of integrity. Healing energy is always present with Reiki; it’s just that we as ego based carbon life forms do not know what the real healing is for each individual client. Much healing is associated with the lessons we are to learn in this incarnation. I urge you to not be attached to what you think healing is for each individual. It will not benefit you or your clients. Love is the only thing that is real when it comes to healing. In Reiki I students experience the first level attunement, learn about the history of Reiki and their Reiki Master linage, hand positions, kanji positions, grounding and centering, scanning and beaming, hands on clinical practice, and other more specialized techniques depending on the Reiki Master. In Reiki II students experience the second level attunement, learn some of the Reiki symbols, long distance healing, emotional healing and balancing from the heart, root/sacrum, and the mental level, removing clouds from the emotional layer, hands on clinical practice, and other more specialized techniques depending on the Reiki Master. In the Reiki III Masters Certification students experience the third level attunement, learn the Reiki Master Empowerment Symbol, how to teach Reiki, attune students to all three levels of Reiki, how to Love and heal thyself, hands on clinical practice, and other more specialized techniques depending on the Reiki Master. I must stress that Reiki has become so popular with many different teachers and as a result there are many different techniques and preferences that have been incorporated into Reiki under the traditional Usui Reiki umbrella. One thing I would recommend is that you look for a teacher who will give you plenty of clinical hands on practice. In addition, there are a plethora of other Reiki practices that have arisen over the years. No one type is better than another. It is the intent and humility of the Reiki Master teacher and practitioner that is most important. It is how the different Reiki practices resonate for you. You are the only one who knows what works best for you. I have found over 30 forms of Reiki other than the traditional Usui Reiki founded by Dr. Mikao Usui. I encourage you to read about them and research them to determine you own Reiki path or in finding a Reiki Master or Reiki practitioner that resonates with you. Here are a couple of useful places on the Internet to begin your search: http://www.reiki-4-all.com/index.php?showtopic=17 andhttp://www.medindia.net/alternativemedicine/reiki/Reiki7.htm. Here is a quick list of the different types of Reiki I have come across: Usui Reiki, Tibetan Reiki, Usui/Tibetan Reiki, Karuna Reiki, Gendai Reiki, Rainbow Reiki, Five Element Seichem, Seichim or Seichem or Sekhem, Tera-Mai® and Tera-Mai® Seichem, Shamballa Reiki, Kundalini Reiki, Imara Reiki, Raku Kei Reiki, Shamanic Reiki, The Radiance Technique® (TRTAI), Reiki Plus®, Johrei or Jo Reiki, Men Chho Reiki® or Medicine Dharma Rei Kei©, Traditional Japanese Reiki, Satya Japanese Reiki, Reiki Jin-Kei Do©, EnerSense-Buddho, Golden Age Reiki, New Life Reiki, Blue Star Reiki, Mari el®, Saku Reiki, Sun Li Chung Reiki, Jinlap Reiki or Tibetan Jinlap Maitri Reiki, Chi Sekai Reiki, Vajra Reiki, and Violet Flame Reiki. I’m sure this is not an exhaustive list. Do your own research. This will help get you started. I would once again like to reiterate that there is no one best method. It is what you feel drawn to, the integrity and humility of your Master Reiki teacher, and intent. If a teacher says their method of Reiki is superior to others then I would say that is a red flag of ego. I do not connect with arrogance. Follow your intuition. All healing modalities have their place. In closing, an empowering way to live one interpretation of Reiki and its teachings is to practice The Five Spiritual Principles of Reiki Plus:

Reiki Healing – Essential for Every One

Reiki means – Universal Life Force energy. It is the energy that everything and everyone in this world is made up of. Reiki is the embodiment of universal unconditional love.  A Japanese Buddhist Monk, Dr. Mikao Usui, Who experienced the universal healing force during a 21- days fasting and meditation period on Mt. Kurama , discovered Reiki in 19th century. Since then it has spread throughout the world, transforming the lives of millions of practitioners.

Reiki is a hands-on healing technique. It is a very simple yet powerful technique that can be easily learned by anyone. Reiki heals the body and emotions, bringing them into balance and promoting health, happiness, prosperity and long life. Reiki heals by calming the mind and relaxing the body thereby raising the life force of the recipient. Reiki heals the body and illumines the mind, it is both a wonderful healing energy .

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

The way in which Reiki healing technique is taught is different from the way other healing techniques are taught. The Reiki master transfers the healing technique to the student during the process of attunement. Reiki attunement is an extremely spiritual experience. Attunement energies are channeled into the student through the Reiki master.  Reiki is an intelligent energy that knows its path and purpose.

Reiki Healing will enrich your life and give you happiness and health on all levels – Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual .

Restrictions on Reiki

Depending on whom you trained with, you may have been given quite a long list of ‘situations where you should not use Reiki’. It seems that the only restriction that Mrs Takata taught was that you should not treat a broken bone with Reiki, but many other restrictions have been added in later on in Reiki’s Western history. I thought I would spend a little time talking about these ‘Reiki contraindications’.

Firstly, I would like to talk about the ‘broken bone’ restriction. This is made on the basis that Reiki accelerates the healing process, so you do not want Reiki to set the bone before it has been put back in the right position. Now while Reiki is an amazing energy, and has done some wonderful and breathtaking things, I think most people’s experience is that Reiki gently supports the body’s natural healing ability, and that while it may accelerate the healing process, the effects of Reiki generally build up cumulatively. I do not believe that Reiki will set someone’s bone like fast-acting Polyfilla, so that they will have to have the bone re-broken and re-set when they get to Casualty a few hours later. Breaking a bone is a shocking and painful experience (I know this from first hand experience!) and Reiki could make a real difference to someone, so I would not hold back from giving it, and I would not hold back from treating the area where the bone is broken. Suggesting that you could Reiki someone, but keep well away from the broken bone, does not stop Reiki from rushing to where it is needed (the bone), and why would we imagine that what many people see as a spiritually-guided life-force energy would mess things up for a person. Reiki is supposed to be intelligent.

Another situation where some people are taught that you ‘should not treat’ is when a client has a pacemaker. This restriction is made on the basis that Reiki energy is electromagnetic in nature, and will interfere with the proper functioning of the device. Confusingly, some say that this restriction only applies to analogue pacemakers, not the newer digital ones. There seems to be no evidence whatsoever to indicate that Reiki would cause a problem in this area, and I have not heard on a single anecdote where a Reiki practitioner treated someone with a pacemaker and the treatment caused problems. I am also not aware of any evidence to show that Reiki is electromagnetic in nature, either. If it was, you could measure Reiki easily: move your hand over a wire and you would induce an electric current, which you could pick up with a voltmeter. Some have suggested that you can solve this ‘problem’ by keeping away from the heart area, but we all know that Reiki rushes from where we put it to where it is needed. I would have thought that a person with a pacemaker needed more Reiki in the heart area, not less, and if Reiki is drawn to the areas of need then it is going to go where it wants anyway. The only solution would be not to treat someone with a pacemaker, which I think is ridiculous. Some have suggested that you should not attune someone with a pacemaker, and again I do not think that this is sensible. I am not going to restrict my practice of Reiki on the basis of unfounded supposition.

With nearly all the restrictions that are put on Reiki, there seems to be no evidence to back up any of them. I am not talking about double blind clinical trials here, but even simple anecdotes where a practitioner has treated someone and found that there is a problem that can be reasonably attributed to the treatment that has been given. I have heard that you should not treat insulin-dependent Diabetics, or people taking steroids for adrenal insufficiency. Those restrictions have been made on the basis that if Reiki produces an instant cure then the patient’s next dose of insulin, or steroids, will kill them. Again, while Reiki is a wonderful healing force, it is not my belief that Reiki is likely to cure diabetes, for example, at the click of a finger. Most people’s experience is that the effects of Reiki build up cumulatively and that if a condition has taken a long time to develop, then it is not so likely to disappear straight away. Yes, a diabetic patient’s blood glucose levels may vary after a Reiki treatment, but diabetics’ blood sugar levels vary a great deal anyway. That is why they have to keep on sticking themselves with a pin to monitor their levels, and you could only attribute this variation to Reiki if it happened consistently after treatments and their blood sugar levels were stable the rest of the time.

Having said that, there does seem to be some anecdotal evidence that Reiki treatments can sometimes cause the client’s blood sugar levels to alter after a treatment. This does not mean that you should not treat diabetics: it means that you need to keep this in mind and mention this possibility to the client, so that they can monitor their blood sugar levels accordingly.

I have heard that you should not send distant Reiki to someone who is driving a car, because they will fall asleep, and you should not send distant Reiki to someone who is under an anaesthetic, because it will make them wake up… well, which is it? This doesn’t sound like an intelligent energy to me, and there seems to be a lot of fear, and a lack of trust in the energy, underlying all these restrictions. So where is the evidence that Reiki wakes people up during surgery? Where is even one anecdote where it was clear that Reiki, rather than any other cause, led to this happening? Look for the evidence, and you find that these scare stories have no foundation.

In fact, the restrictions do not stop there. There are many more taught in different lineages. For example, you should not treat people with cancer, you should not treat people who are pregnant, you should not treat people who are depressed or who have asthma, you should not treat people who are stressed, you should not treat young children, you should not treat animals, you should not treat people who are taking homoeopathic remedies, you should not treat people who are taking medicines, you should not treat people wearing green trousers (sorry, I made that one up!).

Let’s just examine two of these. It is said by some teachers that you should not treat people who have cancer because Reiki will “feed the cancer”; there is a variation on this myth, actually, where people are taught that they should not use one of the Reiki symbols because it will “put energy into the cancer”. Let’s think rationally about this for just a second: we have cancer cells inside us all of the time and as you sit reading this, there are cancer cells in you. Your cells go haywire all the time and your immune system detects the errors and kills the cells. But if you adhere to this Reiki contraindication then you should not treat anyone at all because Reiki feeds cancer cells, and everyone has cancer cells in them, so we can’t treat people, or animals, we can’t treat ourselves, and being attuned would be a death sentence!

And if we can’t treat pregnant women then we really need to refrain from treating any women of childbearing age because of course women can be in the early stages of pregnancy and not know about it, or be pregnant and not know about it. And then of course all women of childbearing age should refrain from self-treating, and should not go on Reiki courses.

People do not think things through

I believe that Reiki is a beautiful healing energy that supports the body’s natural healing ability, and brings things into balance on all levels. It either has an innate intelligence, and knows where to go to an extent, or it is the body that is intelligent and draws the energy to where it is needed. In either case, Reiki is not going to mess up a person and leave them less well off than they were before they started, other than a temporary intensification of symptoms. Examples of these would be an emotional release or strong emotions felt for a few days after being treated, or joint pains getting worse during a treatment and then improving subsequently.

The last set of restrictions that I have heard about concern distant healing, where it is said in some quarters that you should not send Reiki to people who have not asked for or given their permission. Some people say that it is totally unethical to send distant Reiki to someone without obtaining their agreement and that it a gross intrusion. I do not agree with this, for a number of reasons:

1. Firstly, I see sending distant Reiki as rather like sending concentrated prayer. When you pray for someone you are asking for Divine intervention in another person’s life, in whatever way is right for that person according to Divine will. You are asking for things to change for the better. When you send Reiki you are sending it with loving intent and for the person’s highest good, so it is in line with that person’s destiny or karma, and many people see Reiki energy as having Divine origins. You do not ring someone up to ask their permission to pray for them, so why should if be different with Reiki?

2. If someone were knocked over by a car a few yards away from you, would you really not send Reiki to them because you couldn’t drag them into the seated position to sign a consent form? No. You would send Reiki to their highest good and let the energy do what is appropriate for them. You offer the energy: you do not force the recipient to receive it.

3. Reiki is a beautiful healing energy that brings things into balance on all levels and does not mess people up, leaving them worse off than they were to begin with. With distant healing your intent is that the energy works for the highest good of the recipient, so if it is not appropriate for that person to get the benefit of the energy then it simply will not work. You are not imposing your will and you are not imposing your preferred solution on the situation. You are simply sending love, offering the energy, making the energy available, not forcing it to be received.

For these reasons, I have no problem in sending Reiki to people who have not specifically requested it. I send the energy with the intention that it be received by the recipient at whatever time is appropriate for them. I do not see that there are any other restrictions that need to be applied to the energy, or the practice of Reiki. In the West we think too much, and come up with too many complications. Reiki is simple and does not need to be restricted. It knows what to do.

Reiki (Ray-kee) is an ancient healing art that is a gentle, non-invasive, natural treatment method. Its origins are ancient Tibetan; it was rediscovered in the late 1800s by Japanese educator Dr. Mikao Usui. Reiki means universal life force energy-the chi which flows through all living things. It has no religious affiliation and requires no special belief system or ability to be effective. The treatment is usually hands-on,or hands above the body, but can be distant. Reiki works on all levels (physical, spiritual, mental and emotional) and complements and enhances all other treatment methods.

Reiki…

Reiki is a technique that addresses both chronic and acute conditions, gently and powerfully promoting the normal regenerative processes of the body and mind as well as harmony among all the body’s systems. Medical research has focused on Reiki’s effects (with impressive results) rather than how it creates the healing experience.

This article is explaining how and why Reiki heals.

Reiki is not just a pure healing technique: its biggest value is based on attaining emotionally healthy state, expanding emotional and spiritual intelligence. REIKI IS VIBRATION OF UNIVERSAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.

Ability of practicing Reiki means that practitioner has established connection with his/her higher emotional and spiritual energies (Higher emotional body and spiritual bodies in Aura. This is partially the source of healing energies which flow through practitioner´s body). Practitioner becomes connected with his/her own higher vibrational parts of self, which are more loving, intelligent and conscious, more Divine, more perfect; changing the consciousness to the more healthier level naturally acures while sending healing energies.

The main difference between Reiki system and the other spiritual techniques is that emotional health and love is able to flow through the whole body, whenever practised.

It is much easier to develop healthy emotional habits, while using Reiki: Reiki IS EMOTIONAL HEALTHY ENERGY (Universal love).

Energetic techniques are based on the fact that we all are already in possession of all our qualities and abilities, because we are all part of one creative source, one Divine intelligence who / which creates us all the time. This Source is EVERYTHING what was, what is and what will be. We can always choose to be in contact with our Source, our Source has ALL energies and vibrations we need or we can imagine, so we just have to get used to be and stay connected to that source which will provide us with all high quality energies we need (practice is of main importance).

Main difference to the other spiritual techniques is that emotional health and love is able to flow through the whole body, whenever practised. After Reiki, when you pray, you feel energy of prayer through all body, heart and soul, when you meditate, you feel flow of energy, when you sing spiritual songs, you feel them more completely. Spiritual experiences are much deeper, and more useful with Reiki, because you use energy of your spiritual experiences for healing yourself, the others, the world.

Every process of attunenment and Reiki course is deep emotionally healing session, where are many aura wounds and blockages transformed and healed and few important energy centres are activated:

1.Thymus (heart chakra)

2. Pineal and pituitary gland

3. Energetic centres on palms , which influences possibility of giving / sharing.

4. Flow of energy through spine is also healed, as much as possible, so energy can flow more easily up and down.

After all that, it happens the following:

Energy level is increased, because attunements opens energetic channels (nadias) which are responsible for bringing vital energy from Aura to body level. Energy flows through all Acupuncture meridians, every cell and atom can feel that energy, and get impulse for balance and self-healing.

After attunenment, course and by practicing the technique people start to change, emotionally become more open:

-they feel much more self-love and self-respect (gift of self-healing , self-balancing and healing the others is great one and starts to change emotional intelligence permanently!)

- Feel more connected with others and more sensitive to the needs of the others,

- Empathy starts to become natural

- They become more able for team-working and cooperation, because of group meditation and exchanging the healing and spiritual energies with others, what opens a completely new level of communications with others.

- Focus becomes better

- They start to develop spiritual intelligence as well, so they become able to look all what is happening from higher perspective, so Reiki is transforming the fears into love in action.

-They become more spiritually connected to the other people, to the other living beings, to the nature, to the whole planet Earth.

Reiki also teaches about very simple and highly effective meditations which:

Reiki can be used on many ways, as a part of group working, because it attunes whole group on the same level of emotional healthy energy , so they feel like a whole and become more cooperative (this is part of consciousness which this energy carries within)

When group of people is able to meditate together for purpose achieving the goals, the success comes much more easier, because meditation harmonizes individual energies and combines them to the group purpose.

Reiki is useful you in every area of human life, YOU CAN SEND IT TO ANY SITUATION YOU WANT TO IMPROVE; and put on higher vibrational level:

REIKI FOR PEACE: “MAY THE FOLLOWERS OF ALL RELIGIONS AND SPIRITUAL PATHS WORK TOGETHER TO CREATE PEACE AMONG ALL PEOPLE ONE EARTH”

The World Peace Crystal Grid program is a way for Reiki practitioners to promote peace on earth. Peace grids have been placed at the North and South Poles of the earth as well as in old Jerusalem. Their design allow Reiki to be sent to them and stored like a battery which is then made available to promote peace on earth. Their placement at the magnetic poles of the earth takes advantage of this tremendous energy source that also functions like the crown and root chakras of the planet. The Reiki energy emanating from the Peace grids is carried by the magnetic field around the planet to heal and balance the earth’s aura. The reservoir of healing energy it holds is available to empower all those working toward world healing and peace.

ON THE GRIDS IS WRITTEN:

“May the followers of all religions and spiritual paths work together to create peace among all people on earth.”

World’s oldest and most well known energy healing method is “Reiki.” It is believed to have started in India over 4000 years ago It uses subtle energy as a method to deliver the Reiki healings. Quantum physics proves that energy movement, thoughts, focus, prayer, and intent can change the physical reality.

Reiki healing is a natural holistic therapy that gently balances life energies promoting health and well-being to the recipient. It supports spiritual growth and emotional clearings. Reiki will do no harm. Reiki practitioners are taught to focus only on the well-being of their clients.

Thoughts are things (thoughts are the building blocks of our reality.) Positive thoughts are uplifting while negative thoughts are downers. We all know that’s the way it works!

Reiki is not New Age. The word “Reiki” is just a word meaning energy healing in Japanese. Its teachings and methods of healing the body predate Buddhism, Christianity and many other known religions. It hasn’t always been called Reiki but its methods have been around a long time.

Reiki healing is thought to be thousands of years old, known by many names (chi, ki, holy spirit, etc.) and its healing complements both Eastern and Western medicine. Everybody can benefit from it and everybody can do it, even small children.

Reiki is a method of application for flowing healing energy. The healing treatment is performed by the focused intent. Laying on-of-hands, touch of the hands, healing touch, quantum touch and/or just holding the hands over the client, are ways the Life Force Energy is transferred. The Reiki practitioner allows the flow of the energy from a limitless source(God Force) through his or her hands to the client. The client’s job is to desire a healing and be open to receive.

There Are Formal Studies To Teach You Reiki Healing

You become Reiki by taking a class from a Reiki Master where the activating symbols are passed into your energy field. (It’s like putting software into a computer.) Everyone naturally flows this healing energy as part of their spiritual make up but to flow it in the large quantities necessary, one must go through formal training and be attuned to this extra energy.

There are Reiki Masters in most every country of the world. Reiki is an extremely powerful, yet gentle energy that can be easily flowed to yourself and others, just by thinking Reiki and thinking that your intention is to flow the healing energy.

Reiki healing is truly a system of attaining and promoting wellness and wholeness of mind, body and spirit. This simple, non-invasive healing system works with the Higher Self of the practitioner to promote health and well-being of the entire physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychic body.

The Reiki Healing Health Benefits:
1. Releases depression, anxiety, stress, and tension
2. Creates deep relaxation and a feeling of inner peace
3. Dissolves energy blockages
4. Accelerates healing ability
5. Aids restful sleep
6. Helps release the cause and habit of addictions
7. Relieves headaches, back pain, leg pain, bursitis, etc.
8. Brings about a higher state of consciousness

The greatest Reiki healing health benefits are said to be the release of anxiety, stress, and tension. The Reiki treatments promote relaxation, peace and harmony, which trigger the body’s natural healing abilities, and improves/maintains health and well-being.

Reiki symbols are passed from Reiki Master to Reiki Master and are most commonly used for healing and protection. Of Japanese origin, the secrecy of the Reiki symbols is actually a Western tradition. It is not uncommon in Japan to see Reiki symbols displayed very openly, even in public places.
There are several schools of thought when it comes to Reiki. One is that you must be trained in the correct way to use a Reiki symbol before you will be able to activate the benefits.
There is only one way that the symbol will work according to these schools of thought, and you must draw or use the symbol correctly each time in order to activate it.
Other ways of thinking state that you can draw the symbol, trace it with your hand, or even just say the name of the symbol out loud or in your head once you are trained.
One area in which the various ways of thinking agree, though, is that you must have a Reiki Attunement before you can use the symbols.
This gets your body used to the Reiki energy and prepares you to use the Life Force Energy. Depending on the symbols that the Reiki Master uses on you, the effect may be permanent or temporary.
The question that most have, though, is, that if Reiki is something that can only be taught and enabled by a Master, then how did it get started?
With study and dedication, it may just be possible for you to learn to attune yourself without the help of a Reiki Master.
However, if you choose to, you may be able to pay for an attunement anyway. In fact there are even places to learn to do your own Reiki attunement online so that you have no need of classes.
Some of the most common Reiki symbols are the following:
a) Cho Ku Ray – Power
This symbol increases the Reiki power that you are using, brining energy from the rest of the world around you to focus it exactly where you want it.
b) Sei Hei Ki – Mental or Emotional
This symbol indicates the divine within us, making humanity and God into one. It is used to create an emotional release after a build up in the recipient of the energy, and can be used to focus to heal and calm the mind.
c) Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen – Distance
This symbol indicates that the God in the sender greets the God in the recipient. It is used to promote peace and enlightenment, and is used to send Reiki healing energy across a distance to perform distance healing.
There are twelve basic hand positions for self-treatment with Reiki. The first is with both hands over your face and eyes, with your nose and mouth exposed. Your palms should be cupping your eyes, no pressure needed. The second is with both hands on your head just behind or above your ears. Your fingertips should meet at the crown of your head.
The third is with both hands resting behind your head. One should rest just above the nape of your neck, and the other should be just above it. The fourth is with your chin resting in the palms of your hands. Your fingers should stretch along your jaw line.
The fifth is with one hand around your throat gently, with your thumb to one side and your fingers to the other. Your other hand should rest on your chest just below your collarbone. The sixth is with your hands resting on your upper rib cage. For women, this means that your hands are placed just below the breasts.
The seventh is with your fingertips touching above your solar plexus, your hands to each side. The eighth is with one hand along each side of your pelvic bone. Your fingers should be touching.
The ninth is with your hands on the backs of your shoulders or on your shoulder blades. You should be reaching up and over your shoulders to get in this position. The tenth is with your hands meeting at the fingertips in the center of your back.
The eleventh is with your fingertips meeting at your low back. The twelfth is with your hands resting in the sacral region, meeting about at your tailbone.
When you lay your hands on one of these healing energy points, you are meant to draw energy though the channels of your body rather than trying to push your energy out through your hands or otherwise draw from some parts of your body to the others. Instead, look to draw the energy through the channels in your body from the world around you.
