Schools of Energy Healing

If you’ve ever wondered about the practice of Reiki, Qigong, or touch therapy – schools of energy healing can help you understand the principles, philosophies and applications of these and other ancient healing arts.
Depending on which course of study interests you the most, schools of energy healing commonly provide a broad selection of training programs. For example, if you would like to learn about Chinese energy healing practices like Qigong, you can either enroll in a Master’s of Oriental Medicine program for this and other Chinese medicine modalities, or take a single course in Qigong and become certified in the healing art.
Schools of energy healing that provide Qigong certification programs instruct in the principles of Qi energy, meditation, exercises relative to Qigong, vital elements, (and sometimes Tai Chi) among others.
Aura and chakra healing are also studies that you may encounter at schools of energy healing. These metaphysical healing treatments are based on mind, body and spirit medicine. Students enrolled in these studies will learn about the seven chakras and layers of aura energy; and how to provide attunements in person and through distance healing.Schools of energy healing often extend courses in Reiki. These programs are subsequently divided into various levels of education; including Reiki Levels One, Two, Advanced Reiki, and Reiki Master. Reiki healing is similar to Chios and Aura healing, but not identical. As with Chios/Aura healing, attunements are provided to clients to help in self-healing.
Some schools of energy healing extend training in therapeutic touch; which combines both massage and energy healing. While some massage therapy programs may integrate therapeutic touch and energy healing into the curricula, there are some courses in therapeutic touch that can be taken as a stand-alone study.
If you (or someone you know) are interested in learning more about these or other healing arts schools, let professional training within fast-growing industries like massage therapy, naturopathy, acupuncture, herbal medicine, Reiki, and others get you started! I have been practicing Zhineng Quigong for about 1 year now with amazing results. I am hoping to make a trip to China to visit their “World’s Largest Medicineless Hospital” someday to see the miracles for myself, and maybe receive one or two…
Quigong is the ability to pull the chi right out of the air, “for free” so to speak. It took a culture as rich and deep as the Chinese to bring us to the level of understanding that we currently enjoy.
But leave it to the German’s with their amazing creative abilities to invent a machine that “makes” chi. There are machines now popular that generate chi, and can provide many of the wonderful results as the ancient (and free) method of quigong. Some of the machines now available and gaining large followings of satisfied customers are the QRS Quantron, the MRS 2000 and the BEMER 3000.
For people too busy to practice traditional qigong, one of these chi machine generators may be a practical alternative. For people who own these machines, they say they wouldn’t trade theirs for anything in the world..
