@ericamt i thought so too, but maybe it was just the way she tried to “explain” the concepts? I don’t know. What really struck me as strange was when she was “listening” to the guy’s shoulder’s problems lol =P my understanding of it though was that the shoulder needed to first “realize” it’s problems before the true healing can begin? at least that was my take on it…

I’d LOVE to receive a reiki session someday! I’d also love to become a practitioner myself, i’ve been trying to understand ki for a few years now, it’s slowly getting clear to me as time goes by. i learned that ki is everywhere, and (in our body) originates in the tan jun, or the hera (the lower abdomen). i’m not sure if this is possible but once after kneeling for a long while, i concentrated my “ki” to my sore knees and they felt better quicker than usual, but maybe it’s just all in my head..

I believe these kinds of practices can authentic and do work, I’ve seen some genuine practitioners, but this seems a little..off.

I agree! I’ve grown up with this stuff and practice it (although I’m still in school and not very advanced) but I still can’t help but laugh at the looks on some people faces when they watch someone doing this!
