And I never heard such thing like 5 handpositions on ?Usui reiki ryoho? lineage….
anyway… Sparrowhawk dear friend, there’s truth and not “the truth”. There are different ways to get there. Try to keep and develop for yourself the one you feel more comfortable with. Others may feel and think different. But that doesn’t mean that the different way is a wrong way…. Sorry for the bad english… love*

That’s…interesting handpositions. IF i may ask, what ‘tradition’ does that come from? It’s not Usui Reiki ryoho (japanese) lineage since those use 5. I guess its’ a modified western version.
