Kundalini Reiki: Don’t Just Heal, Evolve!

Reiki is a wonderful healing art, and in all of its varieties seems to work well enough, at least for hands-on healing. But Reiki, which was originally intended to be a self-development system that secondarily promotes healing, needs to evolve. Over the past century, Reiki has become bloated and overcomplicated with zillions of symbols, complicated procedures and systems of hand positions, ridiculously high fees, organizational politics and intrigues, unverifiable fairy tales, mumbo-jumbo and outright nonsense about its origins, and enough principles and rules to shame a religion. Enter Danish musician and Reiki Tummo student Ole Gabrielsen. Ole developed Kundalini Reiki and changed this healing and self-development art forever.

What is Reiki?

Reiki roughly means “Universal Life Energy”. You gain access to Reiki via “attunement”. During attunement, different energy centers (chakras) and channels are opened/strengthened. This way you can have access to this energy and channel it through your hands, etc. You can then “switch on” the energy, just by intention. Reiki can also be used on animals, plants, water, etc. Furthermore, it is possible to accelerate your personal development process drastically by opening the Kundalini.

What is Kundalini?

Basically, Kundalini means that certain healing channels and chakras have been opened, and you have thereby gained access to the Earth’s energy. The root chakra, which is the energy center near the coccyx, acts as an entrance for the Kundalini energy. The Kundalini energy is also referred to as “the Kundalini Fire”. Hereafter, the energy runs all the way up through the body, through the “main energy channel”, and out of the Crown chakra.

This energy channel goes from the Root chakra to the Crown chakra on the top of the head. An open Kundalini means that over a period of time, a complete cleansing of the chakras, the body parts and the energy channels is obtained.

Traditional paths to Kundalini awakening are fraught with danger and difficulty. A person who is having, or has had problems with wrong Kundalini awakening, or other problems with the Kundalini energy, can most often be helped by the Kundalini Reiki attunements.

What is Kundalini Reiki?

So how does Kundalini Reiki differ from traditional Reiki?

Unlike most other Reiki, Kundalini Reiki uses both Reiki energy and Kundalini (Earth) energy. The Kundalini greatly strengthens the Reiki, and the Reiki “tempers” the Kundalini, making it perfectly safe to use.

Kundalini Reiki uses no symbols and no complicated system of set hand positions. Starting the energy flow is achieved by intent.

Kundalini Reiki is passed on to the student in three levels, each of which modifies the bodies energy system significantly. With the second level a daily Kundalini Reiki Meditation (sort of a mini Kundalini raising) is taught to the student, and in level three a number of special energies (DNA Reiki, Birth Trauma Reiki, etc.) are imparted, intended to heal certain energy conditions that most people suffer from to some degree.

Kundalini Reiki basically comes in two “flavors”, a basic or “lite” (I call it “Classic”) version which is often taught for free or around $10, and a newer generation version with a much more stable and powerful attunement process and a simplified system of levels. This much improved version is usually taught for $75 to $150 online, and much more in a live teaching situation.

At my website Kundalini Reiki Center (http://www.kundalinireiki.net), I offer the advanced version of Kundalini Reiki (including 3 Booster Empowerments) for $75, and as a bonus, I throw in Purple Reiki (an excellent energy for clearing blockages) as sort of a fourth level.

Chad Michael Fordham received his first Reiki training in 2000.

Although originally trained in more traditional Reiki forms and Seichim, he now works almost exclusively with the European-developed Kundalini Reiki group of disciplines.

Mr. Fordham also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Naturology.

Many healers work by listening to their intuition so that they just let their hands move along to do the work while they basically act to pass the healing energy so that the recipient is benefited.
To begin with, the problem area is first identified by placing your hands to scan the body of the recipient. Where there seems to be any kind of difference in sensation from a particular part, that would be intercepted as a problem area that is causing much difficulty to the recipient. While you are involved in continuing with the Reiki hand positions, it is possible that you may experience different types of sensations such as cold, heat, pulsing or even a complete dearth of sensations. So it is also important to understand the fact that the person who is getting such treatment may not feel these sensations which the practitioner does through the method of simple hand positions for Reiki healing.
It is best to always to keep your hands about 2 to 4 inches away from the body of the recipient. Keep the hands in a cupped way, with fingers bonding closely together and thumbs pulled upward against the hand. This would make sure that the positive energy is directed to the recipient whom you are treating.
Do note the fact that lying down is the best Reiki position because it makes sure that the person feels completely at ease and relaxed enough to imbibe that positive energy. If the recipient tries to fight or oppose this powerfully, positive energy, it won’t help at all.
When you start a treatment, you always begin with the head wherein your hand would cover the middle of the forehead where it is believed the third eye begins and the treatment ends by the feet. Remember, Reiki hand positions are very important for the healing aspect.
While there is movement from one hand positions to another position, it is best that you do this in a most gentle way so that the recipient is not disturbed at all. The moment you have gone ahead to place your first hand on the body of the recipient, you should ensure that this contact is not broken. You can do this by moving your hands gradually, one at a time, in a way that ensure that you are in constant touch with the recipient.
Using these tips on simple hand positions for Reiki healing, you should be more confident about letting the positive energy flow.
